Why do I need a Registered Office Address?
UK limited companies are legally required to have a UK registered office. Our registered office service covers use of our address for official government mail only. This address cannot be used for general business correspondence, for which you must also purchase our Business Address Service (Our Virtual Business Plus package covers both official and business mail). Using a Registered Office Address has the added benefit of protecting your personal address from appearing on the public register.
What qualifies as official mail, and what are the charges for mail forwarding?
Official government mail includes post from the following UK governing bodies:

  • Companies House
  • HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC)
  • HM Court documents (including Tribunals Services and Sheriff Court)
  • Office for National Statistics (ONS)
  • Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
  • Department of Work & Pensions (DWP)
  • Government Gateway
  • Intellectual Property Office (IPO)
  • Ministry of Justice
  • The Pensions Regulator (TPR)
  • The Insolvency Service
  • UK Border Agency


By default, your official mail will be scanned daily and securely uploaded to your dedicated client portal at no additional cost. Let us know how you would like your mail to be sent via your admin panel and we will follow these instructions.
If you require a hard copy of a letter that has been scanned, please notify us within two weeks of the upload date via your client portal. We will forward the original to your mailing address for a fee of £0.50 plus postage per item.
Can I use this as a Director Service Address?
Yes, however you will need to purchase our ‘registered office & director service address’ package for £59.99 per year. Anybody who becomes a director or officer of a company must be prepared to give a correspondence address for the public register. Our director service address covers all your companies’ directors and allows them to maintain their privacy by using our address. This will be the same as the registered office address of the company.
How do I change my Registered Office Address?
To change your company’s registered office address, submit form AD01 (for companies) or form LLAD01 (for LLPs) by post or you can sign into Companies House WebFiling online and make the change electronically. You must let Companies House know within 14 days of the change taking place.
If you would like us to make the change for you, we charge £12 +VAT and this service can be ordered through your account.
What documents do I need to provide for verification?
To complete the process, all Officers including Corporate Officers (except Secretaries) will need to provide one each of the following: One Government Issued Photo ID and One Proof of Address dated within the last three months, preferably a Bank Statement.
In addition, the account holder and the payment cardholder (if different from the account holder) will also be required to provide valid Photo ID for verification purposes.

Proof of ID accepted:
- Passport (UK or foreign)
- UK Driving Licence (full or provisional, photocard)
- National Identity Card (for EEA or Swiss nationals)

Proof of Address accepted:
(These must contain your full name and be dated within the last three months. Abbreviations of your name may not be accepted. Please note: we do not accept Proof of Address addressed to businesses.)

- Utility bill (gas, electric, television, landline phone bill)
- Bank, Building Society or Credit Union statement
Does my contract automatically renew at the end of my 12-month term?
No, we do not automatically renew our services. We send a renewal email a month before an annual renewal is due (followed by several reminders if action has not been taken).
Can I use your address on my ‘Google My Business’ profile?
No, unfortunately our virtual office locations are not eligible for a 'Google My Business' profile on Google. However, other smaller online business directories might allow our locations to be used.
